Here is another make and take project from my recent open house featuring the new You’ve Got This Stamp Set and English Garden Designer Series Paper which is my favorite DSP in the new catalog. It’s gorgeous!!!
I made two sample cards using Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride. Not sure which color I like better:)
This beautiful flower is heat-embossed with Black Emboss Powder on a piece of Shimmery White card stock. First I just simply stamped the flower image in black ink but the flower didn’t show that much on the stamped background. So I decided to heat emboss it with Black Emboss Powder and it worked!!! I do have one important tip for you. Make sure that your stamped background is totally dry when you heat emboss your flower on top of it. Otherwise, you will have extra Black Emboss Powder on your background.
Paper Measurements:
- Card Base – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (Mint Macaron/Mossy Meadow)
- Layer 1 – 5 1/4″ x 4″ (DSP)
- Layer 2 – 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ (Mint Macaron/Blushing Bride)
- Layer 3 – 4″ x 3″ (Shimmery White)
- Sentiment – 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ (Tip Top Taupe)
