Hello Crafters! Today’s project is an adorable desktop calendar I made for my daughter-in-law last Christmas. She displays it by the window in her kitchen where my grandchild sits in his highchair. I’m sure he will be learning colors and garden critters.

This project was fairly quick to make. I CASE’d one of the cards featured in the January – April Mini Catalog and changed a little bit to make it as a desktop calendar. All the cute images are from the Cute As a Bug Designer Series Paper. I used the coordinating Sweet Bugs Dies to die cut the printed images so there was no coloring involved:-)
For the background I wanted a textured background so I used the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper and add Pool Party ink using a Blending Brush. I like how it turned out!
How about the textured ribbon that I adhered as a border? It is called Old Olive 3/8″ Specialty Rickrack and is part of the Cute as a Bug Suite Collection. It’s versatile and perfect for cards, scrapbooking and home decor. You will love it!
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy Stampin’!!!
