Hello everyone! Here is one of the projects we did at my Card Clubs this month featuring the Over the Moon Stamp Set. Aren’t these cards so cute? Ever since one of my downline members shared a photo of a similar card with our team, I knew I had to make one.
I had so much fun designing this card! All the cows are colored with Stampin’ Blends. The triangle sections of the cards are stamped using the two small solid patterned stamps in Memento Black. I placed both of stamps on a clear-mount block for quick stamping.
For the background I wanted to make a flower field, so I used the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set for the grass and flower images with 2-step stamping. I also used the new Above the Clouds Stamp Set for the clouds. Make sure to use a Stampin’ Pierce Mat (126199) for better impressions. As you can see, this card can be flat so that you can put it in a Stampin’ Up! Medium Size Envelope.
Here is how I made the card base:
- Start with a 8″ x 8″ Whisper White Card Stock, score at 4″ and then turn your paper and score at 4″ again.
- Cut the bottom half section at 4″ up to the center of the card base where the two score lines meet.
- For the top triangle sections score between score lines from the left to the top and then the right to the top.
- Fold your card stock as shown below.
The Abstract Impressions Stamp Set coordinates with the Springtime Impressions Dies so the pretty floral die-cut you see under the pop-up section is from the die set. I just used a 4″ x 4″ Rococo Rose Card Stock to die cut the corner section of the die. After die cutting, I trimmed off an extra portion with my Paper Snips.
It’s fairly easy to make a pop-up. Starting with a piece of 3″ x 6″ card stock (Pear Pizzazz used here), score at 3″ and fold in half. Place one of the Layering Scallop Circles on the folded card stock exposing 3 scallop circles on fold (so that this section will not be cut) and run it through your die cut machine. Now fold the top circle in half (valley fold) matching the scallops. Die cut a 3″ x 3″ card stock with the same Layering Scallop Circles. Adhere the back of this piece to the valley hold half circle (outer circle) with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755). Use Dimensionals to adhere this to your card as shown. Tip: Make sure to use Dimensionals to adhere your sentiment piece so that that your cow sections will stand as shown.
I hope you can find my instructions helpful. Since I’ve received many requests for this card, I’m planning on offering another class so stay tuned! Make sure to let me know if you are interested!
