Stampin’ Up! Tacoma Regional Sharing – Part 1

A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call from Carrie Cudney from Stampin’ Up! Corporate Office and was asked to be one of the demonstrator presenters at Tacoma Regional which was held on September 29th.  At first, I didn’t realize who I was actually talking to on the phone and thought I was talking to someone from the SU Demonstrator Support.  For some reason I thought there was a problem with my registration for the event.  But then all the sudden her name clicked my brain!!!  I could not believe I was talking to CARRIE CUDNEY who I admire so much for her amazing creativity and everything she does!!! 

So the next four days I created several projects using the new Illuminate Glimmer Ink.  If you don’t know where to find this new ink pad, you can find it on page 23 of the Holiday Catalog.  This card was the first project I shared on stage.  It’s really simple and easy to make AND it’s so BEAUTIFUL!!! 

Here are some features that I’ve found using the Illuminate Glimmer Ink Pad:

• similar to VersaMark ink pad
• add a luminescent shimmer to stamped images
• watermark ink for tone-on-tone shimmer stamping
• pigment ink – great for heat embossing
• works best when stamped on a darker card stock

Now take a look at this card.  Can you see the difference between the first and this card?  It’s two step stamping.  First I stamped the solid tree image on Midnight Muse card stock and then stamped the outlined tree image over the solid tree image to give a little more deeper impression of the tree.

Here’s the side by side photo.  I think these cards are easy enough to mass produce.  Don’t you???

I am happy to say now that I’m glad I did it and felt very honored to be part of the event even though I think I was more nervous than the class presentations at Convention this summer.  Just because I was by myself on stage in front of more than 700 people for 10 minutes and didn’t have my demo friends Jill and Cynthia next to me……!!!
