Here is another card we are making at my Card Club workshops this month. I’m loving this new You’ve Got This Stamp Set from the new catalog! It’s so pretty and versatile!
How about the new In Color Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe? So pretty! For the flower I used the new Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight.
The new Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe is my favorite In Color combo this year. For this flower I chose Old Olive and Crushed Curry.
This photo shows you two different background looks. I couldn’t make up my mind to stamp-off or not:)
When I stamped the background image in Tip Top Taupe directly on a piece of Whisper White card stock, I thought it was too dark but it got lighter after the ink settled in the paper.
On our recent Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Hawaii, I learned a fun watercoloring technique by Judy Prahl using Stampin’ Write Markers scribbled onto a tile and then used a Blender Pen to pick up color. Here is how she demonstrated her cool technique:
She first showed us to “wash” an image everywhere with a Blender Pen and then use Stampin’ Write Markers to add accent to the image. And then she went back to her image with the Blender Pen to go over one more time to blend the colors together. I have found using the fine tip of the marker worked better for me to control the color.
You can try this technique on Watercolor paper, Shimmery White, Whisper White and Very Vanilla card stock. For my flower I chose Shimmery White card stock and worked great!
