Here is one of the projects we are making at my Card Club workshops this month. Isn’t it so pretty?
The slider is layered with 3 pieces of card stock (Shimmery White, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White) and then is punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch for the ribbon slot. I stamped the rose image on a Shimmery White card stock in Archival Basic Black and then water colored with the Aqua Painter using the Bermuda Bay and Cucumber Crush ink pads.
Slider Paper Measurements:
- Shimmery White (front panel) – 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
- Sahara Sand (middle panel) 3 7/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Whisper White (back panel) – 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
To make the base of the holder I cut Sahara Sand Card stock to 4″ x 11″ and then scored at 5 1/2″ on the 11″ side. Having the card base open, I positioned my rose diecut on the card front and then carefully tucked the excess portions of the diecut under the card front. Then I flipped the card around and applied Snail Adhesive to secure the diecut along the edge of my card inside. Then I applied more Snail Adhesive to completely glue the inside of my card. You could use only a half base (4″ x 5 1/2″) for your card base but I wanted to hide the excess diecuts and adhesive by using a full card base.
This is optional but I applied the Clear Wink of Stella to the entire rose diecut before securing it to the card base. It’s hard to see it in this photo but it really added a beautiful look to the card.
